Wait — what is Yggdrasil, really?
Think of it as a worldwide private network that anyone can join, but no one owns. Instead of an IP handed out by your provider, your phone gets a permanent IPv6 address baked from its own encryption key. Connect to a few peers, and you can reach every other device on the mesh — securely, directly, as if they were on your local network.

With Crypto-Key Routing (CKR), Yggdrasil NG can route all of your internet traffic through an exit node you trust — hopping across the encrypted mesh to get there. Reach the open web from behind heavy censorship, while everything in between sees nothing but ordinary mesh traffic.

Split tunneling lets you exclude any app from Yggdrasil completely. Excluded apps skip the mesh and the exit node entirely — so your bank, your local network and anything that should stay direct keeps using your normal connection, while everything else rides the tunnel.
